The Returning Duo
Tundra Swans (aka Whistling Swans), having arrived to a late winter in Alaska, stopped to catch a break. At first sight, blending in with their surroundings, they sat on top of a frozen stream a few feet away from a break in the ice where fresh water flowed under their black, webbed feet. Although I was a safe distance away, they decided that my presence was not trusted. With that they departed the area in harmony only to leave me with this photograph.
