North of Atigun Pass, AK I came across a small herd of muskox. I was able to get somewhat close to them, and I couldn't honestly say far enough to be safe if they turned on me. Nevertheless, I approached cautiously watching their body language. These two were lazily butting heads, pausing to determine if my distance was yet a threat. Their thick mane brushing off the brutal cold with a Viking-like resemblance. I hope to soon return and photograph these beasts in their snowy wonderland but with a lens that can reach out and touch them at a safer distance.
